About

I am a Baltimore native, a recent graduate of Barnard College, and the daughter and granddaughter of public school teachers. When I was 9 I told my teacher I wanted to be journalist when I grew up. I still do.

I currently work as a writer and reporter for GZERO Media, where I cover geopolitics. So far, I have reported from the campaign trail, the UN General Assembly, and Columbia University protests — to name a few. I have interviewed voters, world leaders, and experts across a range of industries.

I lived in Manhattan, coastal Maine, and France in my early 20s before settling down to begin my post-grad life in Brooklyn. I think my greatest strength as a journalist is my ability to connect with people, a skill I honed as a bartender, a caretaker, and an au pair before landing my first “real” job in journalism. My brain is equal parts creative and analytical, with a healthy dash of obsessive when I get going on a project. I am unendingly curious, hard working, and a team player.

When I’m not reporting, you can find me teaching American politics at Columbia University, making politics-themed crossword puzzles, or writing for the political satire show: Puppet Regime. I conduct research on voter behavior, public opinion, and class politics, which I have presented at international academic conventions. Beyond politics, I love writing creative non-fiction, and have won awards for my personal essays.

Off the clock, I run a grilling club, train for triathlons, and wonder aimlessly from coffee shop to coffee shop.
